1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using Starkive (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
Starkive Studio is a suite of on-device privacy tools — file encryption and archive extraction, PDF tools, redaction, a password vault, an authenticator, and secret-splitting. Starkive Manifest is a separate asset and hardware register. The Service is provided as-is.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Starkive to create, transmit, or store content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, infringing, or malicious (such as malware or phishing links). You may not use the Service to harass, surveil, or track individuals without their knowledge in violation of applicable law. You are solely responsible for the content you encrypt, share, or transmit using Starkive. We review abuse reports and may remove content, suspend or terminate a Starkive Manifest account, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate. Starkive Studio runs on your own device and stores nothing with us, so there is nothing there for us to remove.
4. Account responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@depaloconsultingllc.com.
5. Intellectual property
Starkive and its original content, features, and functionality are the property of Starkive and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The Starkive software and its file formats are proprietary to Starkive.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that open notifications will be delivered in all circumstances.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Starkive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
10. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
