This Mac and my devices
The register is a file on hardware you control. Your phone syncs to it across your own network and to nothing else. We receive nothing: no account, no telemetry, nothing for us to lose or be compelled to hand over.
Sold as Starkive Local. Includes upgrades, compliance-framework updates as the standards move, and support from a person. It is not free just because it runs on your hardware.
Starkive Cloud
Sold as Starkive Cloud. Your devices sync through infrastructure we run, so a Mac and a phone agree without sharing a network. It costs more at every tier, and the premium widens as the fleet grows.
Regulated scope, disposal evidence, lease terms and every photograph are encrypted on your device with a key we never receive. We could not read those if you asked us to.
Every tier, both tracks
Monthly, through the App Store. Five admins are included on every tier, on both tracks. Storage is derived from the asset count and is generous; you are never billed by the gigabyte, and going over your tier never stops you recording an asset.

US dollars, per month. The App Store charges you in your own currency at Apple’s rate for your region, and what the app shows you is always what you pay. The app itself is free to download; the subscription is what unlocks writing to a register.
The cloud premium is not a hosting bill. Measured against what the app actually sends, running a 40,000-asset workspace costs us about eighteen cents a month. Hosting is the floor, not the reason. What the cloud track sells is a fleet reachable from a client site without being on that site’s network.
Both apps are with Apple waiting for review, so nothing is on sale yet.
What happens when the trial ends
Seven days free, and then the register goes read-only. It is never locked.
This product holds hardware registers, often a consultant’s client’s register, mid-audit. An app that locks you out of that because a card expired has made its billing calendar your compliance problem. So when the trial runs out, or a subscription lapses, only writing stops. Reading, reporting and exporting keep working.
There is also one self-serve 48-hour window you can start yourself, without emailing anyone, if a lapse lands in the middle of an audit.
What the price does not have in it
- Per-seat fees. Five admins on every tier, on both tracks. The number of people who sign in is not a billing input.
- Per-asset fees. There are none. The tier is the price.
- Paid AI add-ons. The AI runs on your Mac, on Apple’s own on-device models, and is not metered.
- Storage bills. Storage is derived from the asset count. Photographs, sanitization certificates and attachments are not charged by the gigabyte.
- An upgrade to get compliance. All twelve frameworks, all sixty-six controls and the evidence pack are in every tier. There is no compliance edition.
And what is not in the product
- Software discovery. Licences are tracked as records, with seats purchased set against seats assigned and over-allocation flagged. But nothing scans a machine to find out what is installed on it, so reconciling entitlements against real installs is still manual. If that is the problem you are shopping for, this is not it yet.
