STARKIVE PDF · 02
Type it in plain words and the on-device AI does it. Extract pages, summarize, ask questions, convert to Word, sign, protect, merge. It even reads scanned PDFs now. Everything runs on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded, no watermarks, no page limits.
TELL IT IN YOUR OWN WORDS · IT ALREADY KNOWS HOW TO
HOW IT WORKS
“Extract pages 2 to 5” or “what are the key dates?” Type a request or a question, no menus to hunt through.
Don’t have the file open yet? It opens the one you pick and runs your request straight away. You never repeat yourself.
Anything that changes a file waits for you to confirm, with a press-and-hold on the big ones. Nothing happens behind your back.
Open any PDF and ask it questions, or get a one-tap summary. Apple's on-device model reads the document right on your Mac and answers using only what is in it. And now, if the PDF is a scan or an image with no text layer, Starkive reads it with on-device OCR first, so you still get an answer.
Great for contracts, invoices, and receipts: "What is the total?", "What are the key dates?", "Summarize the obligations." Nothing is uploaded, no account with an AI company, and your files are never used for training.
EVERYTHING ELSE
Summarize a PDF or ask questions about it, scans included. Apple's on-device AI answers using only the document, and nothing is uploaded.
Drop text anywhere on a page and drag it into place, then save it back into the PDF.
Draw your signature and place it on the page. It is baked into the file so it shows in any viewer.
Add a password so the file cannot be opened without it.
Turn photos or scans (JPEG, PNG, and more) into a PDF, one image per page.
Turn a Word, RTF, or text document into a PDF, keeping its text and basic styling.
Combine several PDFs into one document in the order you choose.
Break a PDF into separate files by page range.
Pull the text out of a PDF as plain text you can reuse, with OCR for scans.
Rebuild an editable .docx document from the PDF's text.
HOW IT WORKS · Text you add and signatures you draw are flattened into the saved PDF, so they show in any viewer while your original text stays selectable. Merge, split, and text extraction work on any PDF. When a page has no text layer, like a scan or a photo, Starkive reads it with on-device OCR so the AI and text tools still have something to work with. Convert to PDF renders a Word, RTF, or text document into a new PDF, carrying its text and basic styling, though a heavily designed Word layout may shift. Because everything runs on your device, even confidential PDFs never leave your computer.
